The US Navy’s newest Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, USS John Basilone, has been commissioned.DDG 122 became the 74th ship of her class and the second ship to bear the namesake of John Basilone, the only Enlisted Marine to earn the Medal of Honor and the Navy Cross during World War II.
