One Dead, Two Missing in Galveston Ship Collision

The US Coast Guard and local authorities on Wednesday continue to search for two fishermen missing after a fatal vessel collision in Galveston, Texas.The Coast Guard said four fisherman were forced into the water on Tuesday afternoon when their 81-foot vessel Pappy's Pride capsized following a collision with the 600-foot chemical tanker Bow Fortune near the Galveston jetties.

Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM) and Vigor (Team RB-M) has announced the delivery of the first three on a six vessel RB-M contract to the US Coast Guard. The boats are part of a Foreign Military Sale to The Kingdom of Bahrain’s Coast Guard. Hulls four through six are expected to ship in 2020. A total of 182 RB-Ms have been built by Team RB-M.FMM was the prime contractor and program manager.

The U.S. Coast Guard and good Samaritans assisted the crew of the 63-foot catamaran Kaulana after it reportedly struck a rock off Manele Bay, Hawaii, Saturday morning.A Station Maui 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew arrived on scene and assisted with damage control. The crew of the vessel Maui Princess transferred the 15 passengers from the Kaulana and towed the stricken vessel to Lahaina.

A Coast Guard crew assisted a 72-foot towing vessel taking on water near Port Arthur, Texas, Thursday evening.Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received a report that the towing vessel, Antietam, was taking on water and in need of assistance. Antietam, who was pushing two barges, intentionally grounded near Taylor Bayou to avoid sinking.
