U.K.-based Tidal Transit said it has placed orders with Singapore's Penguin Shipyard for two new battery-ready crew transfer vessels (CTV) amid growing demand for green crew transport in the offshore wind sector.The company announced on Tuesday that it has ordered two Incat Crowther-designed WindFlex-27 CTV vessels, each with capacity for 24 passengers.

Tidal Transit, a supplier of purpose-design crew transfer vessels for the offshore wind industry, has begun the design and engineering phase of a project to deliver what is said to be the world’s first retrofit electric crew transfer vessel (E-CTV).Over the next 15 months, Tidal Transit will retrofit a diesel-powered Mercurio 20-meter vessel, Ginny Louise
